Thanks for the comment. Actually, as the movie shows, he was successful in moving the swarm for which we were really grateful. The bees seemed quite happy too. He explained that he smoked his head because he got stung there. He’s a great neighbour because he gives us tomatoes and figs and helps with pruning our fruit trees.
This guy has no idea how to properly remove this swarm.He should have sprayed them with water or sugar syrup to prevent them from flying everywhere,then removed at least half the frames from that hive box so the bees would have some space when he dropped them into it. I like the part at 1:45 where he starts smoking his head! Anyway,this is a great video.I hope he didn’t get to many stings.
