Personally I am a traditionalist when it comes to Bonsai, that being said yours looks great even after 29 days. There are a few things that do look better in the traditional method however considering how much fast this tree has developed it would be interesting to see the slow traditional style merged with this speedy growth method. I might even try it once I get some more money but till then slow and steady for me.

    Hello Jerry,
I have just seen the video where the moss has got a type of slime mould I think you called, but now watching this video I’m sure I could see the same type of webs on the moss, is it mould or is it the light. Thanks for the videos though, I enjoy your videos and subscribe to your films. Peace.

I really enjoy watching your show, I learned a lot about the sphagnum moss technique. How often do you water it and what kind of filterizer do you commonly used on your bonsai? Thank you, and I’m preparing to start my own bonsai.

Beautiful! You have given me confidence to try using my banyan for bonsai. As far as the “others” (watching to much ‘Lost’)are concerned, beauty is in the eyes of beholder. And I behold it as magnificent!

    Hi,
If you planted them in sphagnum moss, I wouldn’t worry. Take a look at the chunk of roots I cut off of either of my banyans. The first responded by growing like crazy. Ficus do very well and are aggressive growers. If you packed the roots tightly with the sphagnum moss,

I got two new ficus tree’s and they look pretty similar to your banyan (which is looking amazing) and i planted them in the same type of dish and everything but i had to cut down many big roots. Should i be worried about that?

I could only find sphagnum peat moss when I started a couple trees with this method. What do you think of milled sphagnum? Any advice?
